Our Commitment

Investing in the Community
GSH is committed to serving the Dayton community. It is important to the hospital to not only provide comprehensive health care to services its patients, but to also invest time and resources into the community. The Phoenix Project
partners GSH with the City of Dayton and CityWide Development Corporation to revitalize the Fairview and Mount Auburn neighborhoods surrounding the hospital. Prevention and Wellness
The Samaritan Well-Being Center is one example of how GSH is helping promote healthy living among residents of the Dayton community. From therapeutic massage to community programs such as yoga, tai chi, healthy cooking, and meditation, the Samaritan Well-Being Center offers the Dayton community creative alternatives for enriching the mind, body, and spirit. Commitment to the Under-Served
GSH is proud of its commitment to provide compassionate care to the under-served. The Samaritan Homeless Clinic offers full integrated services, such as medical, mental health, social work, outreach, dental, recovery education, and counseling. The clinic also links patients with mainstream organizations for long-term health care services. GSH is dedicated to helping all under-served people in the Dayton community get back on their feet. Community Engagement
GSH is an active and enthusiastic member of the Dayton community. The hospital is a committed sponsor of a Health Ministries program that emphasizes the wholeness of the body, mind, and spirit through various approaches, all of which are open to all religious denominations.
